Thor’s Favorite S’mores Milkshake

Can you believe we’ve already reached week eight of the Marvel Movie Marathon?! After seeing Black Panther last weekend in theaters (I know, I technically skipped ahead in the lineup – but there’s no way I could wait!), I’m even more excited for Avengers: Infinity War.

This weekend we’re watching Thor: The Dark World. And since I haven’t made any Thor-inspired geek eats, I figured it was about time to fix that.

Grab your blender, it’s time to make a s’mores milkshake that will have you saying, “This drink… I like it! ANOTHER!” But let’s not slam any glasses on the ground…

Thor’s Favorite S’mores Milkshake Ingredients:

  • 4 scoops of chocolate ice cream
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 2/3 c. of crushed graham cracker crumbs (3-4 crackers)
  • Marshmallows (regular size, not mini)
  • Mini pretzel sticks
  • Silver colored food mist spray
  • Whip cream
  • Chocolate syrup (for garnishing)

First, let’s prep your edible Mjolnirs… that’s Thor’s hammer for you mortals. Place your marshmallows on a sheet of wax paper, and following the instructions on your can of silver food mist spray, spray your marshmallows thoroughly until they are colored to your liking. I’ll be honest, I had never heard of colored food mist spray before, but I found it in the special occasion baking supplies at my local grocery store. You can also find it on Amazon.

I colored my marshmallows the night before, but the coloring seemed to dry fairly quickly if you are making your Mjolnirs the same night as your shakes.

Once your silver marshmallows have dried, grab a pretzel stick and push it gently into your marshmallow. Voila! Thor’s mighty hammer!

Now it’s milkshake time. I know everyone has a preference on how thick they like their milkshakes, so feel free to adapt this recipe as you’d like.

In your blender, add milk, ice cream, and the crushed graham cracker crumbs. Blend your ingredients, adding more ice cream or milk to get to your desired thickness.

Grab a glass and garnish the inside of the cup with chocolate syrup in a quick up-and-down motion.

Fill your garnished glass with your blended milkshake. Top with whip cream and a Mjolnir. Enjoy! You’re ready to dine like an Asgardian.

I am not a huge fan of the Thor movies besides Ragnorok. It’s not that they’re bad, they’re just not my favorite.
