Captain Marvel Style Guide

You guys are probably getting tired of hearing me say this, but I need more Marvel! And after seeing Ant-Man and the Wasp, I want more girl power. I mean, wasn’t Evangeline Lilly amazing as the Wasp?!

Thankfully, Captain Marvel is on its way… even if it isn’t due to arrive until March 2019. *sigh*

This week, Brie Larson, who will star as Carol Danvers in the MCU’s Captain Marvel, tweeted out a picture of her wrapping up filming for the upcoming flick. And I think that means it’s officially time to get excited for another female superhero lead.

I’ve got a lot of questions regarding the upcoming film. How will it fit into the MCU? When will it take place? What color is her suit?! But first things first, it’s time to stock up on Captain Marvel gear.

I know! We’ve had so many Marvel movies this year that I don’t remember what it’s like to have to wait for a new one! LOL

This is the first I’m hearing about the movie, but I am hopeful it will be awesome!

Not much has been released about it yet! But hopefully we get a trailer soon!

These are such great picks! My partner and I are HUGE Marvel fans, I bought him the box sets of the first two phases for his birthday recently. We’re also dying to see Ant-Man and the Wasp, but we’re waiting until school holidays are over so the cinemas aren’t packed 😅 Can’t wait for Captain Marvel as well, but I’m super bummed that it’s still so far away!

Yay! Always so happy to find a fellow Marvel fan! You’ll love Ant-Man and the Wasp — I can’t wait to watch it again! And I agree. We’ve been spoiled with lots of Marvel releases this year. I don’t remember how to wait this long for a new film!

So excited for Captain Marvel, and to finally have a stand alone female led Marvel film – I know technically Ant-Man and Wasp is female led, but she has to share the limelight with a bloke, so I’m not sure how much it counts. Anyway, cute picks. I love the jumper, and that dress is adorable, though the vintage look isn’t really my style.

I totally agree. And it’s a shame that it has taken this long to have a female led MCU film! Can’t wait to see the first trailer. Hopefully we get one soon.

I can’t WAIT for this movie. Is it 2019 yet?!!! And is it wrong that I’m almost more excited for the end credit scenes??? because….GIVE ME INFINITY WAR TWO ALREADY. (Sorry for the yelling…just super anxious over here)

Girl — I am right there with you! Talk about cliff hangers! Did you see Ant-Man and the Wasp (and the post-credit scene) yet?! (#nospoilers, but it’s good.)

Am looking forward to this movie as Marvel is seriously lagging in strong female leads. You have Scarlet Witch, Gamorra and Black Widow but no one headlining. It’ll also be interesting to get a look at MCU for the 1990s. If I recall we’ll get to see Nick Fury back when he had two working eyes. Marvel haven’t really put a foot wrong as far as character creation stories go.

That’s an interesting point! I never thought about Fury’s character at that point in the timeline. And totally agree – I can’t wait to have an official female lead! I’d love to see one for all of the MCU ladies.

I’m excited for a female Marvel star! I don’t actually know anything about Captain Marvel as I haven’t read the comics, but I think it will be good. I also love her logo/look, so I’m going to be tempted to buy some of these items!

I don’t know a ton about her character either — but I’m hoping to pick up the comic (and these items!) soon. 🙂

Not gonna lie, I wish we were getting a Ms. Marvel Kamala Khan movie instead!! The G. Willow Wilson graphic novels are hilarious, heart breaking and SO action packed that it’d be a snap to bring the pages to life on screen! But since we’re not getting Kamala – *sad face* – I am supportive about getting a Marvel heroine led movie! Beyond Ant-Man and the Wasp, which doesn’t entirely count as Hope shares the spotlight with Scott. So, yeah, she’s not Kamala but I know Brie will be a BAMF in the Captain Marvel role! 😋
