Breaking Down the New Avengers: Endgame Trailer

THIS IS NOT A DRILL! Marvel Studios has released a new Avengers: Endgame trailer today and it is everything we could have wanted.

Okay, I know there are two type of people in the world — those who watch movie trailers and those who don’t. I get it, some people don’t want to see any spoilers or footage before they see a movie (like my husband who covers his eyes and ears during the trailers at the movie theater). But me, I just cannot help myself when it comes to trailers. When one is released that I like, okay, I meant love, I watch it way too many times. (Sorry I’m not sorry.)

But when it comes to the new Avengers: Endgame trailer, it is absolutely perfect for both trailer-obsessed and trailer-deterred groups. It shares just the right amount of old and new footage, and it left me with chills.

My suggestion — WATCH IT!

Okay, now that I’ve convinced you to watch the trailer either for the first or 100th time (I’m not judging), let’s talk!

Tony, Steve, and Thor’s flashback montages make me want to watch all of the MCU films again before Endgame… oh wait, I am doing that. 🙂

Tony — he’s back with the group and Nebula is there too! Yes, yes, yes. I cannot wait to learn how they made it back from space.

Steve — if I have to see him cry, I’m crying too. No question about it.

Clint, aka Hawkeye — looks like he was training his daughter to follow in his footsteps, but now with this darker version of himself, are we to fear he lost his entire family in the snap?

Nat’s bringing her red hair back and she certainly hasn’t lost her fierce precision. Can we get a Black Widow movie, please?!

Scott — how did he get out of the Quantum Realm? And what happened to Cassie?

Rocket and Rhodey — tag team of the century.

Those new suits! I want one! The real question though — are they built to help the Avengers travel through the Quantum Realm? (My vote is yes.)

Thor and Captain Marvel —  AMAZING. I want more of these two.

About Avengers: Endgame

The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, Avengers: Endgame.

Kevin Feige produces Avengers: Endgame, and Anthony and Joe Russo are the directors. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Michael Grillo, Trinh Tran, Jon Favreau and Stan Lee are the executive producers, and Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely wrote the screenplay.

Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26.

I am an anti-trailer person, but my partner is a diehard trailer LOVER, so I always end up watching them. I’ve got to say I was really annoyed that Tony and Nebula are seen out of space, but I guess we still don’t know exactly what happened, so I can’t complain too much. I’m really excited to see Thor and Captain Marvel together, that one scene in the trailer looks like they have great chemistry!

I totally agree. At first I was shocked to see Tony and Nebula with the rest of the Avengers, but then I decided not to overthink it. I mean, I figured they would somehow get back with the group, and also, Marvel has been known to edit their trailers to make viewers think things…. so you never know what is altered!
