We’re in the final stages of our Marvel Movie Marathon before Avengers: Endgame! Next up is Thor: Ragnarok, and to go along with our movie night, I decided to make my hubby a Thor-inspired beer glass.
One of my favorite things to occur in the MCU is when characters meet for the very first time. Think about it, many of the characters come from different worlds and cultures. We know them from their own stories, know their quirks and personalities, so when we see them interact for the first time, there are so many fun moments to enjoy.
In Thor: Ragnarok, Thor meets Doctor Strange for the first time, and it is absolutely perfect.
Doctor Strange greets Thor at Sanctum Sanctorum, even offering him a cup of tea.
Doctor Strange: Tea?
Thor: I don’t drink tea.
Doctor Strange: What do you drink?
Thor: Not tea.
And magically, just like that, his tea glass is transformed into a beer stein.
Make Your Own Thor Beer Stein
What You Need:
- Glass beer stein (I found mine at the Dollar Store!)
- “I Don’t Drink Tea” file — DOWNLOAD
- Black adhesive vinyl
- Transfer tape
- Cricut Explore Air II (or a similar machine) and cutting accessories (mat, weeder, scraper)
Download the file found in the list above and load it into Cricut Design Space.
Size the file at your desired width. My glass was approximately 3 inches in diameter, so I sized mine at 2.5 inches wide.
Cut out your file on black adhesive vinyl.
Weed the extra pieces of vinyl off, and then use transfer tape to adhere the vinyl letters onto the center of your glass.
But this beer stein is not fit for an Asgardian unless…
There, that’s better. Fill it up with the nectar of the gods to enjoy.
