This post is a collaboration with Not Very Lady Like. I brewed the coffee (my favorite kind of potion) and NVLL provided the magical mug! No additional compensation was received. All opinions are my own.
Pack your trunk! It’s September 1st and it’s time to catch the Hogwarts Express to go back to one of our favorite schools of witchcraft and wizardry.
While back-to-school season might not be quite the same this year, there is still magic to be experienced at Hogwarts! Whether you’re re-reading the books, watching the movies, or even building a Harry Potter Lego set, butterbeer is a must-have refreshment!
While I do love a refreshing, cold butterbeer, it’s now September (which means it’s *practically* fall), so a hot butterbeer is where it’s at!
While there are many variations for hot (and cold) butterbeer, I’ve experimented to find my own hot butterbeer latte that tastes delicious. I’m not a butterscotch fan, so this version focuses on caramel and butter flavors. Yum!
Magical Harry Potter Coffee Mugs from Not Very Lady Like
It’s no secret that Not Very Lady Like is one of my favorite Etsy shops. So far, I’ve purchased several Lord of the Rings-inspired items, and now I’ve turned my eyes to Lauren’s Harry Potter designs.
From totes to cozy sweatshirts, masks, dog bandanas, and coffee mugs, NVLL has the most magical collection of literary-inspired items. Each time I wear one of the shop’s designs, I receive so many compliments. Not only are the items high quality, but the designs are original, charming, and subtly geek.
When I decided to brew a magical Harry Potter-inspired butterbeer latte, I knew a Hogwarts glass mug from NVLL would be the perfect way to sip this delightful beverage. I just love the unique, simple design on the glass mug. Perfect for sipping warm drinks from your house common room.

Harry Potter Hot Butterbeer Latte Recipe
What You Need:
- 4 oz. of hot espresso (using the coffee of your choice)
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 tbsp. butter
- 1-2 tbsp. caramel syrup (depending on how strong you want the flavor to be)
Prepare 4 oz. of hot espresso using a coffee machine, French press, or Moka pot.
Pour the milk into a microwave-safe glass and add the butter. Heat the milk for 60 seconds in the microwave.
Froth the milk with a frother, or use a whisk until the milk is foamy and bubbly.
Add the hot espresso to your magical Harry Potter mug and stir in the caramel syrup, then pour in the warmed, frothed milk and stir to combine.
Yum! This brew would make any potions professor proud! Now turn to page 394…
