I’m still speechless — I attended the Frozen 2 red carpet world premiere in LA!
As a HUGE Disney and Frozen fan, this was a dream come true. Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve been Disney obsessed — I’m talking Disney sing-alongs in the car, themed bedspreads, headbands, t-shirts, you name it!
So when the first Frozen was released in November of 2013, even as an adult, I went straight to the theaters to see it. Never did I imagine that Frozen would grow so near and dear to my heart! I loved everything about Frozen and saw it several times in theaters. Not only did the story have two strong female leads with rockstar vocals and an ADORABLE talking snowman (did I mention Olaf is my favorite?), it also challenged typical Disney storylines (you mean Anna can’t marry a man she just met?) and reintroduced the sing-along Disney movie (with some VERY popular songs, I might add).
When news broke that Frozen 2 would be released, I was over-the-moon ecstatic.
(And when I get excited for something, I usually end up baking some themed treats. What, you mean you didn’t bake an Olaf Chocolate Pie or an Elsa-Inspired Ombré Drip Cake?)
And to put the carrot on top of the snowman — bad joke, I know — I was invited to the Frozen 2 red carpet world premiere!
Walking the Frozen 2 Red Carpet
Since this was my first-ever red carpet event, I didn’t know what to expect — but, of course, Disney is always on point and did not disappoint with their fall-themed red carpet! Everywhere you looked there were special Frozen 2 touches — ancient stone formations circled the main entrance, lined with fall trees and draped in fog. Walking down the red carpet, there were plenty of Frozen 2 photos opportunities, and, of course, I couldn’t pass them up!
I like to think I embodied Anna’s gusto from the first Frozen film.
“Tonight, imagine me gown and all. Fetchingly draped against the wall. The picture of sophisticated grace.”
Okay, so maybe I wasn’t that dramatic, but c’mon — I was on the red carpet in a beautiful glitzy gown, rubbed elbows with the stars, and got to watch the world premiere of Frozen 2!
After walking the red carpet (covered in leaves, I might add), we found our seats in the theater and snacked on popcorn. Before the movie started, we were presented with the cast and crew of Frozen 2 on stage — all of them looked stunning! — and then the movie began. (Stay tuned for my review of Frozen 2 coming soon!)
Attending the Frozen 2 After Party
Following the movie, the amazing Frozen 2 festivities continued as we headed to the after party! The room glistened in icy blue light with a chandelier casting icy vibes that even Elsa would be proud of.
Everywhere you looked there were Frozen 2 touches, whether it be Kristoff’s life-size sleigh, replica Anna and Elsa statues, or live character meet and greets!
As I mentioned earlier, I’m a total Frozen fangirl. I love all of the characters, but I especially adore Olaf. And the after party had plenty of my favorite snowman!
There were Olaf-themed cupcakes…
There was an Olaf character meet-and-greet…
And the real Olaf, aka Josh Gad who lends his voice to the character, was there too!
Oh, and Queen Elsa? I also caught a glimpse of the beautiful Idina Menzel!
While many of the cast members were at the party, I had a chance to personally meet Jason Ritter who voices the new Frozen 2 character Ryder!
And since the evening was getting later, I was so happy to find a delicious Frozen 2 Happy Meal snack from McDonalds to fill me up!
All-in-all, my first red carpet experience was AMAZING and MAGICAL — just like you would expect a Disney red carpet to be. The movie itself was terrific and I can’t wait to see it again when it hits theaters on November 22.

About Frozen 2
Why was Elsa born with magical powers? The answer is calling her and threatening her kingdom. Together with Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven, she’ll set out on a dangerous but remarkable journey. In Frozen, Elsa feared her powers were too much for the world. In Frozen 2, she must hope they are enough. From the Academy Award®- winning team—directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, producer Peter Del Vecho and songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez—and featuring the voices of Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad, Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Frozen 2 opens in U.S. theaters on Nov. 22, 2019.
